It was a period when I was inspired by ”Les Ballets Russes”. I watched dozens of videos about its dancers, composers, artists and the great Serge Diaghilev. Of course I was in love with Anna Pavlova’s fragility and Tamara Karsavina’s accuracy. At the same time I was amazed by Ida Rubinstein’s personality and force. She was disliked by Diaghilev because she created her own troupe and could buy anything and anyone she wanted. This stamina, generosity and unconditional beauty have inspired me at that much so I had’t noticed the moment when the painting started to look like Ida.
